Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is an Hollywood actress, author and best-selling novelist. Her skills have earned her world-wide recognition. Sagittarius. The actress was born in North Carolina December 3, 1960. She's one of the three oldest children to Peter Moore Smith and Anne Smith. Peter was a paratrooper. She is of English and Scottish roots. Her father was a professional who moved her family a lot. She struggled with making or maintaining acquaintances. Moore started acting in play after she relocated with her family to Germany. The school she attended was Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with a B.F.A. A thesis on Theater. Moore is a theater graduate who attended the college in New York and started her acting career off Broadway when she moved from New York. In 1985, she made her on-screen debut in an episode of The Edge of Night. In 1986, she played two roles as Frannie as well as Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. She starred on the show as the World Turns from 1986 until 1988. For her role she was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award. The year 1990 saw her first film appearance came in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. The film was later criticized as a poor low-budget film. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. The latter was critically acclaimed and she earned several nominations for the film. Moore's debut lead role was as a lead actress in Safe (1995). Steven Spielberg's casting of Moore as the lead in Jurassic Park: The Lost World which was one of the top grossing films of 1997, represented a huge moment in Moore's career. In 1999, she was awarded a SAG award for her work in Magnolia. The Hours starred Moore in 2002, and was nominated for the nine Academy Awards along with Nicole Kidman. Moore was also in The Forgotten (2003), Freedomland (2005), Shelter (2010) and many other movies. In 2014, she starred in Non-Stop. Moore was a regular in countless television and film productions. Her most recent prominent roles was In 2022, When You Finish Securing the World. In Hollywood, she has also made herself a writer for children. She published her first book in 2007 Freckleface Strawberry, which became an NY Times bestseller. The best-selling book was made into a film, a series and even a musical. Also in 2013, Moore published My Mother is a Stranger. Moore is a successful actor and author she has also made her private life known to the world. She separated from John Robin in 1995. They have two children together and a son with Bart Freundlich whom she later married in 2003. Moore's work, family and friends are the most important things in her life.
